Organised by the Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the workshop is meant to chart a roadmap for the export sector, built on value addition, traceability and a bigger role for start-ups.

Andhra Pradesh, the country’s largest fish and seafood producer, is at the centre of this growth story, reporting aquaculture production of 55.39 lakh tonnes in 2025-26. The State has emerged as a primary hub for marine exports, backed by extensive infrastructure development under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
